Her early career was as a calligrapher and book illustrator. Dianne published 2 books in the art and craft field and she taught aspiring calligraphers in her studio and at various educational institutions in Johannesburg for 15 years. She participated in numerous group exhibitions with the Calligraphy Society of South Africa and was highly regarded as one of South Africa's top calligraphers. In 2001, Dianne migrated to Australia. The move had a remarkably positive effect on her painting techniques, use of vibrant colour and a change in subject matter. Her most recent work focuses on Australian flora and fauna. An award winning artist, Dianne's paintings are held in private and corporate collections in Australia, South Africa, The United States, India, China and New Zealand. ![]() The Studio "I work on several paintings at once, giving them sideline glances and deciding which one I have the strongest urge to continue working on for the day. I leave the one that has become tired or too difficult and change to another." ![]() |
